Dogs will Detect COVID-19 Better Than Current Tests, Review Suggests

The dog will detect Covid-19!

Everyone knows about the dog’s sense of smell. For this reason, they are always used to detect bombs, drugs, and illegal products. A recent review paper, citing several research papers, claims that the dog’s sense of smell is more reliable for covid-detection than the current conventional covid test.

Moreover, the conventional test is also time-consuming and costly. There the dog can only detect the smell immediately by sniffing. A study of eight olfactory dogs showed that they were 83 to 100 percent successful in identifying covid-19.

These dogs even identified covid from samples that came back negative with conventional PCR but later had to be hospitalized due to covid symptoms.
